Math Task

At every grade level, we are expected to complete a weekly math task.  A math task is a high level thinking math problem in which students must use many strategies to create models and appropriate equations, and most importantly, explain their work.  It is tough work!  Sometimes I feel all of us have spinning heads during this task!  Luckily, we work together to get through it.  The process begins by each student having private think to time to complete the task.  Then, the students work in groups/partners to disucss their work.  The students are able to add or change their work at this time.  Finally, we go over the task together, and hopefully all  the students have learned a little bit more about working a task.
