Educational Background: I was born and raised in Portland, so of course I am a graduate of Portland High School. I attended Western Kentucky University to receive a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Also, I have obtained my Master's degree in Elementary Reading and Literacy and my Educational Specialist degree in Educational Technology both from Walden University.

Teaching History: This is my 10th year to teach. Six years were spent in third grade and one was in second grade. This is my 3rd year in my FAVORITE grade, kindergarten. I am really looking forward to learning and growing with the students this year.

Family Life: I am married to Zach Wilkinson, and we have two children together. My family is very important to me, and I share a lot of stories about them with my students. We love spending time together, especially when we are on the swing set, riding bikes, swimming, or taking walks. We also enjoy going to the library and park. They are getting too big and it makes me so sad!

Hobbies: I have several things that I love to do! Besides attending church and hanging out with my family, my next favorite thing to do is run. Crazy, I know! I was in the Country Music Half Marathon in April. I also love running Tough Mudders! I run in a lot of 5Ks around Nashville for fun. Running is something I enjoy to do alone, or with my husband and/or dad. Another hobby I have is sewing/quilting. I really don't have much time for it with two little ones, but I hope one day I can return to it on a more regular basis. I also love to read!
